We got married on the 21st July at the Station House, the day was fabulous from start to finish. From the moment we set foot in the hotel we knew we were going to choose the Station House as the venue for our reception. Sarah the wedding co-ordinator was really nice and very helpful to us with any questions or requests that we had. And Derek was there on the day to make sure everything went smoothly, he definately helped calmed our nerves on the day. It was raining on the morning of our wedding so we had no photo's outside but by the time we got to the Station House the sun came out and we got some amazing pictures in the gardens of the hotel. The food was exceptional, everyone commented on how enjoyable it was and how full they were after it. The staff at the hotel were so helpful and we really were made to feel special for the whole day. The atmosphere and setting of the hotel really is exceptional and it makes for a very romantic day. We cant say enough about the Station House and would highly recommend it to anybody thinking getting married.

We got married on June 25th 2011. only living down the road from this hotel we know it quiet well but never did we imagine how well the hotel looked & performed on our wedding day. We felt so special and everything was to the highest standard. The staff were top class and no request was a problem to them. Very friendly and efficient. The wedding co-ordinater was also amazing and really made our day one to be remebered by all family and friends!!

We had our wedding reception on the 9th April 2011 in the Station House Hotel and we really couldn't recommend it enough. In the lead up the wedding day, the staff, Sarah and Henry in particular were beyond helpful. No request was too much and they accommodated everything we wanted. They were both a pleasure to deal with. On the day itself, it was a beautiful warm Spring day and the grounds were ideal for guests to enjoy. Champagne was served on the terrace and everyone immediately picked up on the warm and welcoming atmosphere that is felt upon arrival at the hotel. The running of the day was so smooth and so relaxed that everyone, including us, were put at our ease. The day flowed seamlessly, nobody felt rushed and I know all our guests appreciated and enjoyed the easygoing atmosphere.
It goes without saying that the food was superb, the service was excellent and the room was absolutely perfect if you are looking for an intimate reception ( a lot of our guests commented on the fact that they could see everything that was going on and really felt part of the whole thing) we had 100 guests but it could comfortably have held more and still retained the intimate feel.
The following day (after a night spent in the fabulous bridal suite), the staff had packaged up all our table decorations and our flowers and presented them to us along with a a beautiful memento of the day (I won't spoil the surprise) but it was so thoughtful, we were absolutely delighted with it.
The hotel is family run and this has a direct effect on how guests are treated, you are made to feel so welcome, staff are so nice, nothing is too much trouble and everything has a lovely personal feel. I would highly recommend the Station House, it is the perfect place for your special day.

Attended the wedding on the 22nd July 2011
A group of us recently attended The Station House Hotel for a wedding and I can honestly say each member of staff added to it being a day to remember. Everything has to be complimented: from the attentive service and politeness from staff -to the food -to the perfectly maintained gardens etc etc etc!!! It all made way for the perfect day (and night)! Unfortunatly we did not get to stay in the hotel ( the closest family members did however, and I only heard positive words) but we did indeed stay in the near by holiday homes rented out by the hotel (less than a 5 min walk to the hotel). These were to the highest standard also. The bedroom and ensuite were immaculate and the bed was very comfortable. Overall the experience was more than positive and I would highly recommend this to anyone!

We had our commitment ceremony on the one dry and sunny day in June 2011, in the beautiful grounds of the Station House Hotel. From the moment we and our guests arrived the staff made us feel welcome. Throughout the day they were so friendly, courteous and helpful - all our guests commented on this. Service was fast and efficient and the food and wine went down a storm. The wedding suite in the old signal box was stunning and a great place to retreat for a few quiet minutes and to freshen up during the day. All the staff at the hotel are very friendly and nothing is too much. We cannot thank you enough for all the friendly help and advice you gave us to make our wedding day such an amazing day. From the moment we went to view your hotel we knew it was the perfect place for us – so we booked it there and then! Organising a wedding can be so stressful but to be honest nothing was stressful when it came to dealing with you guys. You managed to put us as ease with everything and we always left with a smile on our face after our meetings with you.
On the day itself, it could not have gone more perfect. After a rainy start to the day the sun came out when we arrived to the hotel. We got our pictures taken in the beautiful gardens, guests enjoyed their pre dinner drinks outside and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the delicious meal. Uncles, Aunts and friends came up to us during the meal to comment on how great the food and service was and many grabbed a second helping!! Your hotel was also described as a ‘hidden gem’ by a few guests. We were all made feel so welcome.
We would highly recommend your hotel to any brides and grooms-to-be looking for their perfect wedding venue. We only wish we could relive our wedding day there again!

by all staff , Sarah the Wedding coordinater was amazing from start to finish.
On the build up to the day the staff were great any requests or changes that needed to be made there were no problems and were done. I was a bridesmaid at my sisters wedding and found the hotel staff unbelievably good. There was nothing they wouldn't do, from arranging cheese to helping with cupcakes to collecting presents. Absolutely the best staff I have ever met. The sun was shining as well and the grounds looked fabulous. Most of the guests commented on how lovely the setting was and how good the food was. What more can you ask for, what more can I say!

We had our wedding in The Station House Hotel in Feb and everything and I mean everything was fab, food, service everthing, they cater for all needs and nothing was left unattneded too. Henry and Sarah really are the best and cannot do enough. Such a unique place and all our guests had such a great day. The morning after we went to check out we were given a box with our personalised champagne flutes a newspaper from the day and a 1st anniversary meal voucher....how thaughtful!!

Hi Sarah,
I just wanted to say thank you and the team at the Station House so much for helping us to have such a magical day. We had the time of our lives and the best day ever. Sorry that it's taken me so long to get in touch, I've just been trying to get back into the swing of things here in Oz.
I have attached a photo of us outside the Station House. All of our photos were fabulous, which were greatly helped by the beautiful gardens and vivid colours.
Everyone said what a great time they had and how delicious the food was....the best they've ever had at a wedding was heard from many many people. My maid of honour absolutely adored her Mushroom Wellington, so well done to the chef, he did an amazing job. It looked like the nice vegetarian meal I've ever seen, and by the sounds of it from all the happy guests it tasted just as good as it looked.
Overall the service and friendliness of all your staff was superb, and I would highly, highly recommend the Station House to anyone who's considering it as their wedding venue.

I had my wedding in the Station house in nov 09 and it was the best day of my life! From the planning and weeks leading up till my big day the staff at the station house ie. Sarah and Patrice and Henry couldn't have done enough. they took all the big stresses out of the planning and organising. On the day we were greeted by the hotel owner which was a lovely touch and our every need was taken care of by Henry, who i can easily say is one of the nicest people you will every meet, he is funny kind and makes sure the day runs smoothly. the food at my wedding was fantastic. I had 135 guests and every one of them has since complimented the food, it was piping hot and just gorgeous! The bar staff and servers were so nice too. Overall I would recommend this hotel for anyone who is thinking of getting married. It really is the perfect location, I look forward to going back for meals and weekends away. Dear Henry & staff,
It's now 2 weeks on from our wedding on 14th November and we just wanted to say a huge thank you to you all once again for helping to make our day so special & perfect.
We fell in love with the Station House Hotel back in September 2008 when we were looking for a venue for our wedding and we both know now we made the perfect choice.
In the run up to the wedding everyone we spoke to either in person or by phone was so helpful and no question was too much.
On the day itself both we and our guests were made to feel so special & welcome.

Hi there ,
Apologies for the delay with sending this through , we are just getting home from honeymoon and back to work.
We just wanted to say how thrilled we were with our wedding reception . From start to finish the whole thing was just perfect.
Never at any stage during the day did we have to think about or worry about anything .
The weather on the 29th was pretty bad , but again we hardly noticed , we were met on arrival for our champagne and had a brolly on standby to get us to where we needed to be .
The reception was fabulous , and we had lots of compliments for the homemade scones , mulled wine and cappuccino soups , perfect on a cold winters day . The surroundings in the bar really worked for a nice cosy pre dinner get together.
Henry was our saviour and thought of everything , we really felt special and that we were taken care of .Its so important that you can just sit back and trust the people that are essentially running the show .
Again our guests complimented the meal , and in particular the quality of the food -it was exceptional , and anyone who wanted more could have it .
For a time in your life that can be quite stressful , having a venue like the Station House made life easy for us . All the prep in the run up to the day was seamless , purely because we were lucky to be dealing with professionals who know what you need.
You should all be very proud , and we cant thank you enough for everything you did for us.
We look forward to our anniversary dinner ,and I'm sure we will be back before then !

We had our wedding at the Station House Hotel on 1st January this year, we're back a good while from our honeymoon at this stage and I just wanted to drop you an email to thank you all so much for your hard work on the day. We absolutely LOVED the day, all of the staff - from reception, to serving and the bar staff were fantastic. Henry was brilliant and made us feel special and was great fun.
The feedback from everyone was that the food was fantastic - I couldn't eat my dinner but that was just excitement - something that has never happend before!
The place was absolutely bueatiful and cosy, the flowers and candles were beautiful.

My Family and I dined in the Station House last Friday. It was a menu tasting for our wedding on 16th of July this year.
The minute we arrived we were greeted by a most lovely waitress. We were so impressed by the personalised menus with our names. Nice Touch! The complimentary soup cappuccino was delicious. Every single course was so well presented and was delicious.
We are so impressed and can't wait for our big day now. You have set huge standards for yourselves now!! We hope the food is as nice on 16th July!!

To all the wonderful staff of the Station House Hotel !
I am just sending this email to thank you all so so much for giving myself and Ciaran the most wonderful day of our lives on the 9th of July last. The hotel in its own right is amazing but this would be nothing without wonderful staff, food and an atmosphere in the place that is second to none.
From the very first night we went to look at the hotel, we were met by a friendly receptionist and we got a really good overall feeling about the place and knew it was the hotel for us.
From dealings with Barbara, Patrice, Sarah and Henry, to name a few, nothing was too much trouble and you all made us feel at ease and that everything was taken care of, which on the day, was to the highest standard. It really is no accident that you continue to win awards for your culinary expertise and as wedding specialists.
Friends and family are still raving about the quality of service and the food and what a gem the hotel is. Relations and friends that never knew of the hotels existence have, since the wedding, returned to lunch and dine and continue to rave! Even one of my best friends decided to return the following week after our day to book her own wedding with you and is getting married next March. Another old work colleague of mine is getting married in September and has been in contact with me to ask about our day and I have told her not to worry about a thing; everything will be taken care of 110 percent.
The only thing I can say that let us down on the day was the good old Irish weather!! Hand on my heart it didn’t matter to us one iota!
There were ample umbrellas at every turn and lots of the guests were commenting on how many there was going back and forth.
Lastly, I would like to thank you for not rushing us out of the honeymoon suite the next morning even though you had to set up the next day for another wedding. There was no rushing and we were met by Sarah who was just "great" and got us supplied with a full Irish which was very welcome indeed even at our late check out time.
I really could go on all day thanking you all. From the moment we arrived back in Feb 2009, to arriving on our special day, to the amazing entrance we had into the room; just everything was perfect. We couldn’t have asked for anything more and I cannot stop talking about the hotel.
Looking forward to returning soon for some food and cannot wait to experience Janice and Alans wedding from the other side in March.

I am writing to thank you along with the management and staff of the Station House for a memorable day on Saturday last.
From the outset the atmosphere was wonderful. We were blessed with a dry day which, of course, meant that photographs could be taken on the beautiful grounds and the guests could mingle outside.
The meal was superb and the service impeccable. Please pass on our compliments to the chef, kitchen and function room staff.
The wedding function itself was truly enjoyable and relaxed. Not a single person had a quibble which is a very hard feat to achieve and a compliment to all concerned. In addition we were able to have a most amiable breakfast and departure on Sunday.
All through the event we were treated with courtesy, good humour and discreet efficiency which I believe is the hallmark of a well run establishment. As a result there is nothing at all we would have changed about the day and the venue made a lasting impression on all who attended. I have no doubt it will be top of the list for many who may be planning a wedding in the future.

Graham and I got married in the Station House Hotel in September and got married on site. The hotel ticked all our boxes - it was cozy but roomy, popular but personal, the staff were quick to respond to any query I had and on the day they went above and beyond to make sure everyone was looked after. Henry and Sarah dealt with us and we’re so patient, positive, helpful and friendly. We originally wanted an outdoor ceremony, weather pending, but sadly it was raining off and on that day. They knew I really wanted it outside and even though the staff put together the hall for the inside ceremony (which Im told was magical looking), they pulled out the stops and changed it to the turntable whilst I was already en route to the hotel as the rain had stopped momentarily! Seriously.. if that’s not service for you!! I had my fairytale wedding walking up a pebbled path through the forest down to the stone turntable. We enjoyed the rest of the day immensely and have had several pals asking ‘if we minded’ them considering the Station House for themselves (to which I told them to go for it, I’d love an excuse to return!).
Thank you so much to all the staff and management and looking forward to popping up for a Sunday lunch and bringing our new arrival with us during the summer!

We just wanted to thank you for such a wonderful day in the Station House for Jill and Anto’s Wedding last Friday.
We all had a super day and the Station House seemed to be managing everything seamlessly from the drinks reception on arrival to a magnificent main reception. The food for the main reception was just totally delicious, served hot and tasty and with a smile.
All the Station House staff were wonderful and pleasant and accommodating to us for the duration of our stay.
Breakfast the next morning was also just what the “Doctor” ordered.
Your hotel is in a super setting and we were blessed with the weather.
Thank you again to all for making Jill and Anto’s day really special along with all their guests.
