The Platform Bar & Brasserie

  • Monday – Saturday 12:00 – 21:00 (All-Day Dining Menu)
  • Sunday & Bank Holiday Monday’s 12:30 – 19:30 (All-Day Lunch Menu)

The Platform Terrace (covered & heated) is available for outdoor dining (advance booking recommended)

The Garden Terrace (not covered) is weather dependent and available for outdoor

Signal Restaurant

  • Monday & Tuesday – Private or group reservations only
  • Wednesday – Saturday (incl)
    • Lunch: from 12.30 – 15.30 [2 or 3 course menu]
    • Dinner: from 18:00 ~ 21:00 [A la Carte fine dining]
  • Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays –
    • All-Day Lunch from 12.30 ~ 19:30

All opening times are subject to change at the discretion of the hotel. To avoid disappointment, we recommend booking in advance.

For group bookings (7 guests+) we request a booking deposit of €10 per person (refundable subject to a 72 hour cancellation policy).

 

Frequently Asked Questions

Families with children

Do you offer a childrens menu? 

  • Yes, we have a childrens menu for under 12’s. Or, if they wish to order from our Lunch menu, half portions are allowed at 50% off.

What time are children allowed in dining areas? 

  • The Platform Bar & Brasserie until 17:00 (last orders)
  • Signal Restaurant until 15:30 (Wed-Sat) and 16:30 (Sunday’s)

What time are children allowed on the property until? 

  • Under 12 years until 19:00 
  • From 12 – 15 years until 21:00 

All children must be accompanied by an adult. If your child is a resident or attending an event, times may differ.

Do you have any entertainment for children?

Yes, we have colouring and a fidget box at reception for children. Please don’t hesitate to ask a member of our team.  

Can my child watch or use a device? 

Not permitted inside the Signal Restaurant. All other areas are allowed but must be on silent mode at all times.

 

Cancellations

We understand that circumstances can change, and we will always try to be as accommodating as we can. However, we kindly ask our guests to note the following cancellation policy:

  • We require 48 hours notice for standard Bedroom cancellations. Late cancellations or no shows within these periods may be charged the full room charge
  • For dining cancellations in Signal Restaurant and The Platform Bar & Brasserie, we require 24 hours’ notice for groups under 4 guests, and 48 hours for groups of 5 or more. Late cancellations or no shows within these periods may be charged a €20 per guest fee
  • For Boyne Valley Tasting Dinner events, we require 72 hours’ notice for both bedroom and dining cancellations. Late cancellations or no shows within these periods may be charged the full room charge or the full value of the Tasting Dinner Menu (as applicable)
  • Please do contact us beforehand if your party numbers change. Where your party numbers are reduced without notice, there may be a charge of €20 per guest for standard dining in Signal Restaurant or The Platform Bar & Brasserie, or the full value of the Tasting Dinner Menu for Boyne Valley Tasting Dinner events
  • We have a 15 minute grace period. Please do call us if you are running late; your table will be booked for 2 hours for parties of up to 6; and 2 hours 30 minutes for parties of 7+
  • Please do not hesitate to contact us in the event of late cancellations

 

Can I bring my dog? 

  • Customers’ dogs are permitted outdoors on the terraces however must be kept on a short leash with their owner at all times whilst on the premises. Owners are kindly asked to ensure their dogs are quiet and well behaved whilst on the premises. Dogs displaying any aggressive behaviour must be removed from the public areas immediately. To ensure all our customers’ safety, dogs subject to a ban or a future ban (e.g. XL Bull dogs) & restricted breed of dogs, strains or cross-breeds of such, are not allowed on the premises. The Station House Hotel accepts no responsibility for any incident involving a customers’ dog or any animal, or any injury caused by a customers’ dog or animal.

Do you have pet-friendly bedrooms? 

No, unfortunately we do not have facilities for you to bring your dog for overnight stays.

Payments

Do you accept cash?

Yes with a maximum of €1,000 for any transaction.

What if my bill is more than €1,000? 

For payments over €1,000, we kindly ask all guests to use one of the following payment methods:

  • Debit card 
  • Bank transfer (please contact us in advance of your booking for details)

Do you accept credit cards? 

Yes we accept most major cards (Visa, Mastercard). If you are using a non EEA or a company/corporate credit card, a processing fee may apply and will be communicated before payment.  Please note, we do not accept american express.

All payment policies are compliant with Irish and EU law, including the Payment Services Directive 2 (PSD2). We reserve the right to refuse payment methods that do not comply with this policy.
