The Station Master Suite

As its name suggests, The Station Master Suite was originally the Station Master’s living quarters. Built in the Victorian era, it has been respectfully refurbished with panelled walls, original shuttered sash windows and high ceilings, which give a feeling of space and brightness.

The seating area includes a sofa bed and window seat which both offer extensive views of The Station House’s 12 acre gardens and woods. This sylvan atmosphere is echoed in the interior décor which is awash with green and yellow fabrics from Zoffany and Morris & Co., and beautiful ornate wallpaper with a cherry blossom motif.

The contemporary furnishings by Irish artisans, mixed with family antiques, have been carefully selected to complement the décor and ambience. A regular talking point from The Station Master Suite is its iconic, free-standing Victoria and Albert yellow ceramic bath.
