Sourdough Bread making: Discover the baker in you with an afternoon spent with Chris Brownlow at his Bread with Benefits baking kitchen in Tara. Whether you’re a first-time baker or a seasoned enthusiast, you’ll explore how simple, natural ingredients—flour, salt, water, and time—transform into nourishing, gut-friendly bread, returning to The Station House with your own sourdough masterpiece to take home or sample over dinner. Transport to and from Chris’ kitchen can be provided.
1-night package from €225 per person sharing, or €320 single occupancy
This 1-night package comes with:
- 1 night’s accommodation in one of our boutique luxury bedrooms
- Freshly made to order A la Carte breakfast
- Light lunch or Cream Tea on arrival prior to the group activity (between 12.30pm – 2pm)
- Friday Workshop (Afternoon group activity from 2pm – 5.30pm)
- 3 course evening meal in the award winning, fine dining Signal Restaurant
- Turn down service with delicious artisanal chocolates
2-night package from €320 per person sharing, or €490 single occupancy.
This 2 night package comes with:
- 2 night’s accommodation in one of our boutique luxury bedrooms

- Light lunch on Friday prior to the group activity (between 12.30pm – 2pm)
- Friday Workshop, 23rd January (Afternoon group activity from 2pm – 5.30pm)
- 3 course evening meal in the award winning, fine dining Signal Restaurant on Friday evening
- Turn down service with delicious artisanal chocolates
Check in with us on Thursday 22nd January and enjoy everything our wonderful location has to offer. Take advantage of the complimentary bicycles to explore the luscious Boyne Valley, with picturesque cycles to the historic Bective Abbey (4km) or the Hill of Tara (6km). Or for those that prefer walking, enjoy the beauty of Meath on one of several off-road walks locally, or simply relax on the Terrace or by the fires and switch off. On Tuesday evening, enjoy 100% Irish casual dining from our Platform Bar & Terrace Bites Menus with signature dishes such as Station House Smokies, Atlantic Prawn & Monkfish Curry, The Sharing Board with local Boyne Valley charcuterie and cheeses, and many more tempting dishes to enjoy. Then wake up to a delicious freshly cooked to order breakfast before a day filled with treats and activities.
