Ceramics Workshop with Grainne Rafter

A thoughtfully curated 1-night retreat blending creativity, comfort, and exceptional cuisine. From a hands-on afternoon ceramics workshop to fine dining and boutique luxury, every detail is designed to help you relax, indulge, and create in an elegant setting shaped by the beauty of the Boyne Valley.

Gráinne Rafter is a ceramic artist from the nearby Hill of Tara. A graduate of Dún Laoghaire College of Art and Design, she creates hand-built sculptures and functional pieces, with a focus on form and texture. Inspired by the natural beauty of the Boyne Valley, each kiln-fired and glazed work reflects her passion for colour, experimentation, and expressive design.

In the afternoon, guests are invited to create their own unique piece under Gráinne’s expert guidance.

Day 1:

• 12:30pm – 13:30  Arrive to hotel
• Light lunch or cream tea on arrival
• 14:00 – 17:30 Ceramics Workshop
• 18:00 – 19:00 Walk or cycle to Bective Abbey (or have a rest)
• 19:30 Dinner in The Signal Restaurant
• 22:30 ~ After Dinner Drinks in the Platform Bar
• Sleep tight

Day 2:

• 08:00-10:00 Breakfast
• 11:00 Check out
• Drive or cycle to Bective Abbey (4km) or The Hill of Tara (7km) for some history and heritage
